EDITOR’S RAMBLE
Welcome to the latest UBG, hopefully you’re all making the most of the good weather!
I was lucky enough to have a fantastic day out at Bedford Autodrome recently for the annual Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) media test day. The day is aimed primarily at non-bike-riding members of the media. It gives them a chance to rub shoulders with a few biking celebrities and try out a variety of bikes.
The overall feeling on the day was one of amazement at the freedom two wheels can give a rider, but it gives them a chance to spread the word with their non-bike-riding readerships, which will hopefully attract new riders.
For me it was a great chance to compare the merits of each machine. My favourite on the day happened to be a GSX-R 1000 and we’ve got a road test of its little brother on page 32.
We need you! That’s right, you the reader to be a part of this magazine, so keep sending us your letters and tech problems, and if you’d like to be part of a road test using your current bike just drop us a line – it’s important to get the owner's unique insight into living with a bike. We also need you to keep sending in your rider files. It’s simple to fill in the form online or post it to us with a photograph of you and your machine. The address for all correspondence is: editor@usedbikeguide.com or by snail mail to: UBG Magazine, PO Box 99, Horncastle, Lincs, LN9 6LZ.
Whatever you’re riding this summer enjoy yourselves but stay safe.
